Dental Experiences - Understanding Dental Patients
Fear of the dentist is a common phobia but why exactly are people so scared? I carried out an insight investigation using design methodologies such as ethnography, empathy testing and interviews, to discover the true reasons why we associate dental appointments with fear and anxiety. I compiled my findings into a motion graphic piece to educate dentists on the scenarios that their patients have experienced in the past and what would improve their audiences’ experience. The info graphic aims to improve the experience of dental visits and create a greater level of understanding, empathy and open conversation in order to minimise the fear and phobia.
